The Kitchen. Probably has an entire eco system living behind those, "30 year old" cabinets and countertops. Dust, Insects and worst of all, your own personal filth! Having lived in harmony for such a long time makes you feel "No new friends" is the safer route.
There are other options!!
$4,000 For a modest, what we call a "lipstick rehab." Resurfacing cabinets, new countertops and new appliances shouldn't cost more.
$22,000 About an average. New countertops, new cabinets, high-quality appliances, and paint. With this budget you can even add or remove islands and walls. Not sure your "Old Friends" would like that thou 😁
Anything above that for a Kitchen puts you in the "Luxury" category which could put your budget to around $50,000. Just imagine anything you ever wanted in a kitchen, Can happen!
The bathroom, thats probably seen things! Like seen things. Living in the bliss of ignorance, "sometimes I prefer" 😌.
$2,500 you can modernize the fortress of solitude. "Fellas get it!" Enjoying the new toilet, inspiring new coat of paint and that vanity mirror combination. That should leave you with enough in the budget to improve the lighting and some decor for character.
$10,000 You can swap out almost everything! Every surface and fixtures, high quality cabinetry, countertops, and as long as you don't move the plumbing and electrical. Include that also!
$24,000 again Luxury! Your imagination is the limits
After Kitchen and bath rehabs customers tend to drift off, when it comes to other key improvements.
The windows, we all love our sheets of plastic every winter. "If you know you know."
Boilers and Furnaces can get very expensive. "Trust me!" 😭
